How To Choose A Bed

Types Of Bed

GLEN_030A firm top divan provides a strong flat surface on which to place your mattress.
A sprung edge divan has a spring unit within the base, which prolongs the life of the mattress.
Drawer divans give you storage options that allow an easy way to access the space beneath your bed. Stowaway divans turn the space under your bed into a perfectly sized home for a spare bed that can be pulled out from the side. The spare bed stands on a folding frame and can either stand alone or be purchased with a zip and link mattress to join it to the main bed.

How To Choose Your Bed

You can judge the quality of the frame by the thickness of the wood. Also, if there are any gaps at the join then the wood hasn't been seasoned properly. Run your hand down the corner of the divan – it should feel smooth and sturdy.
Andrew, Operations Manager

Everyone buying a bed should lie down on a few different models and couples should try and buy a bed together. It takes time to select the right bed and you can't be shy when you're making such an important investment.
Morag, Senior sales advisor

Mattresses need to have good quality edging. Rod edging is best. Without the right edging your mattress goes all squashy and looses its shape.
Gavin, Wire operative

Hand-crafted beds don’t have the imperfections that can occur in mass-produced beds. Every single one of our beds has received personal attention at every step of its construction.
Paul, Wire department team leader
